Rosie Dennis is a Sydney-based artist. She makes work that is technically simple, emotionally evocative and has a strong connection with the everyday. Her work has been presented at dance, theatre, live art and poetry festivals in the United Kingdom and Central Europe. Since 2007 she has received a number of new work commissions including: Künstlerhaus Mousonturm for The Plateaux Festival, Frankfurt; Arnolfini/InBetween Time Festival, UK; Performance Space, Sydney; Campbelltown Arts Centre, The Strand Ephemera Festival, Townsville; ABC TV and Channel 4 (UK). In addition to Rosie’s performance work she has taught for Department of Juvenile Justice, Holroyd City Council, Auburn Migrant Resource Centre, STARTTS (Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors) and PCYC. When not performing she is employed as the Live Art Curator for Campbelltown Arts Centre.
Her solo Fraudulent Behaviour has been selected for a national tour as part of Mobile States in 2010 and will be presented at APAM in February.
